Pleasant stay in prime locatiion

The location at the top of the shopping precinct and near the market was great. Parking not a problem at the rear of the property. The place was prewarmed with heaters and we were able to stay warm throughout the stay. There were lots of stairs at the front entrance, but no stairs from the rear.

It looked shabby with peeling paint around the windows and doors.

Great location, but defiantly not the cottage stay i thought we'd get in Daylesfod

The lock box was very easy to get into.

The property presents very differently to how it appears in the photos online. On arrival, it was clear the cottage is quite run down, with uneven and noticeably sloping floors throughout every room, which made it feel poorly maintained and somewhat uncomfortable to move around in. The décor also did not reflect the standard suggested in the listing. It appeared inexpensive and mismatched, giving more of an op-shop or second-hand feel rather than a thoughtfully styled or well-presented space. This detracted from the overall experience and atmosphere of the stay. There were also several maintenance and cleanliness concerns. The back door was very loose and did not feel secure, which was unsettling. The front balcony had a significant amount of cobweb buildup, indicating that the outdoor areas had not been properly cleaned or maintained for some time. Similarly, the gardens were in poor condition and quite messy, which further contributed to the lack of care and upkeep across the property. Lighting throughout the cottage was also inadequate, making the space feel dim and uninviting, particularly in the evenings. In addition, one of the bedside lamps was not working altogether, which added to the impression that basic checks and attention to detail had been overlooked. Overall, the property did not meet expectations based on the listing and would benefit from substantial maintenance, improved cleanliness, and more thoughtful presentation.
