Experience the Mekong in a relaxing retreat
We have had 4 nights and 3 days at Green Village, and have enjoyed every moment of it (apart from the mosquitos at times, but that's just part of the Mekong experience!)
Chloe and Thiy, the friendly receptionists, Bảy (Mr 7) the captain, and all of the staff presesnt (who I feel bad for not knowing their names!) greeted us on arrival with the biggest smiles, it was like being welcomed into the family!
This is a very peaceful place, with just the odd scooter noise, street seller calling, Brown cuckoo birds (which sound like gibbons!) and karaoke from the neighbours here and there to provide the back ground sounds amidst the wind rustling the palms!
We were fortunate with lots of sunshine to enjoy fabulous sunsets at the restaurant, swims in the pool, and games of pool at the pool table beside said swimming pool!
The food is fresh, breakfast and dinner are included and breakfast has an al a carte menu that you can have as much from as you please!
Dinner arrives as a feast depending what they bought from the market that day. We had succulent whole fried fish, beautiful soups, meat fried in fish sauce, the crispest fried spring rolls... and they were amazing at accomodating our coeliac son, researching before we came so they could make all of our meals inclusive for him. Very special!
There are lots of great tours on offer - if you are able, ask for Johnny as your tour guide - he is super personable, funny, amazing English that he taught himself (and some French too!), and a broad knowledge of lots of topics. We showered him with lots of questions about Viet Nam and he was very generous in sharing his knowledge!
Visiting the floating market was a high light, particularly the noodle soup for breakfast and visiting the home of people who live on boats of the river! This way of life is rapidly dwindling so take the chance to see it while you can!

Simple bungalows, serene setting, good enough food—come to unplug, not to be entertained.
We loved the scenery, just as pictured. The hammocks on the back porch were great to lie in and watch the rain. The people were wonderful. Access to the fridge for drinks, with an honor system to record what we took out, was efficient.
The beds were a bit hard, though we weren't expecting anything fancy since we knew they were "bungalows." Unless you hire a private car to take you into town, the hotel is your only option for all three meals, and menu choices were limited. The dinners included with the room were better—our favorite of the three was the pumpkin soup and fried tilapia in tomato sauce. It's a small place with very limited things to do on the property, so if you just want to chill with a good book or work from your laptop (good WiFi), you'll be fine. Luckily the nearby karaoke in the evenings didn't last too long or too late, since it's a bit jarring for this serene place to hear loud music.

One time experience of a lifetime!
Green Village Mekong was one of the highlights of my Vietnam trip. I was looking for an authentic Mekong experience, and this place delivered exactly that. The property is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and far from the crowds. The bungalows are beautiful, comfortable, and blend perfectly with the surroundings.
What made the stay truly special was the hospitality. Everyone was incredibly kind and genuinely cared about making my visit memorable. They helped arrange my floating market tour, and everything was seamless. Key and Chloe were AMAZING. For the floating market if you do it, be sure to ask for Johnny as your guided person and Captain #7 (Tung). They made the experience exceptionally great!
The homemade food was absolutely delicious, and I loved waking up to the sounds of nature instead of city traffic. If you're looking to experience the real Mekong Delta rather than staying at a large resort, I can't recommend Green Village enough. I would absolutely stay here again.
