事前にメールやSNSでオーナーと直接やりとりができる。宿泊施設までの移動手段等について確認したり、相談できる。
タクシーで行ける最寄りのスポットから施設までは入り組んでおり、4分程度、荷物を持って歩く必要があるが、オーナーが迎えに来て案内、手助けしてくれた。
・観光エリアとの距離感
山肌のかなり高いところに立地している。有名な観光スポットの中心地までは多少歩いて下る必要があるが、その道のりも味わい深く、旅情が感じられる。また、居室からの眺望は抜群である。中心地付近は混み合う夕方以降も、居室周辺は静かで、落ち着いて過ごすことができる。
・座敷のある居室
バルコニー付き和洋室では、座敷があるので子供を安心して座らせられる。水回りやベッド、シーツ等はどれも清潔感がある。バルコニーに出ると、鳥のさえずりや風の音を感じながら町の景色を味わうことができる。
・食堂と和朝食
美味しい焼き魚とお漬物、味噌汁、冷や奴、お米をいただいた。女将さんは愛想が良く、フレンドリーに話しかけてくれたので、まるで日本にいるように不自由が無かった。中国語や英語に自信が無い日本人旅行者や家族連れに特にお勧めできる。
最寄りの道路や中心地までの移動には坂や階段があるため、少し体力を使うかもしれない。ただ、九份観光として事前に想定していた以上の大変さではなかった。

朝ごはんに秋刀魚が出て、とてもおいしかったです。眺めもよく、そしてなによりオーナーのお話が楽しかったです。もっと話したかった！

We have been touring around Taiwan for 15 days, stayed in all sorts of hotels or home stays. This was the most unwelcoming and unhelpful place we stayed.
