A pretty spot by a river tributary, we stayed in a bungalow with a veranda directly overlooking. The common area is spacious and comfy, with chairs, hammocks and the restaurant and refreshments.
The staff were so welcoming and friendly and really made our stay.
The free use of the kayaks was great and we did the one hour ‘Green Cathedral’ loop.
We rented scooters from here to pop into town and the pepper farm.
We’d definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful and unique experience staying in Retro Kampot. It really gave me a chance to slow down and experience a more authentic side of Cambodian living. The house has so much character and charm, and the girls were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay.
There’s also a cat and bunnies living free around the house, and I loved spending the afternoon relaxing in the hammock.

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. One night stay was not long enough. Lovely welcoming family, quiet location, free kayak use, great food! I was in the apartment with A/c. Lovely areas with hammocks and comfy chairs to relax. Easy to order grab tuk tuks to and from town. Great service. Felt safe, relaxed and well looked after.
