It was very green and spacious, lots of privacy , big private balcony and pool. Amazing staff at the property. Best breakfast
Lots of monkeys and frogs. There were other mosquitoes and insects too( as it was inside monkey forest)

All the Alam’s are reliable. Gorgeous and traditional Bali and owned by Balinese. Amazing surrounds and magical gardens that make you drop into Bali life. Amazing staff always. The breakfast and afternoon tea is a draw.
It is getting a bit run down. Nothing major but doors, showers and tiles could do with fixing up. Not replaced and modern though. That’s part of the charm. Just a bit of polish.

My second stay at Alam Shanti and it is still a pocket of calm and relaxation. The staff are so helpful, the gardens are beautiful, breakfast is delicious, the rooms very comfortable and the pool is gorgeous. The location in Nyuh Kuning village is perfect, with some lovely restaurants nearby and so peaceful compared to central Ubud. Highly recommend.

Beautiful traditional property, much quieter than main area of Ubud, gorgeous gardens, great staff
