About this apartment rental
Location: Luquillo, Puerto Rico, is a quaint and tranquil little seaside village, uniquely located 40 min. from San Juan International Airport, 10 minutes from El Yunque Rainforest entrance and 10 minutes from Fajardo.
Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or spending quality fun times with your family, our condo is the perfect place.
Of the 3 buildings in the Playa Azul complex, building #1 is the only one located right on the beachfront. This beautiful apartment, is located on the 12th floor of Playa Azul, building #1, with an amazing panoramic view of the ocean, Throughout the apartment, floor-to-ceiling windows provide a cool ocean breeze and breathtaking views. Ceiling fans keep the apartment cool.
The apartment is well furnished. Two air-conditioned bedrooms overlook the ocean, each with full private bath and walk-in closet. (One has a queen size bed and French doors opening onto the balcony; the other has 2 queen beds and a spectacular view of the ocean). A well equipped kitchen includes a 4 burner stove, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, coffee pot, a countertop oven and a microwave oven. The living room has a 60-inch flat screen Smart HD-TV with cable and wireless Internet connections.
Amenities on the premises include: Private parking lot, a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts. There is full security at the front gate and lobby. Amigo Supermarket, Walgreens Pharmacy and a Banco Popular ATM are available within walking distance.
Located in front of the Building #1, the Playa Azul Beach is not usually crowded and the sand is clean. Beach chairs and a small cooler are available in the wood box on the balcony for your use. If you prefer a beach with calmer waters, including amenities and lifeguards, the famous Balneario Monserate Luquillo Beach is only a few minutes drive from Playa Azul. A bit further, are the famous 'Kioskos of Luquillo' where you can delight in good local cuisine. Otherwise, you can drive to more upscale restaurants in the area.

The apartment has a guest book with suggestions of where to eat and activities available in the area. You can hike to beautiful waterfalls or zip-line in the rain forest, book a snorkel trip, kayak on the bioluminescent bay, scuba dive in Fajardo, rent jet skis at Luquillo Beach, go horseback riding or ride go carts at Hacienda Caraballi, go to the casino at a nearby resort hotel or take day-trips to Old San Juan, Ponce or the Camuy Caves.

We LOVED our stay here. The view was beautiful and condo had everything we needed.Many people swam at Playa Azul; however, it often has red flags. Instead, our family chose to drive an easy 3 minutes to Luquillo beach which was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend. Additionally, we had so many things we wanted to explore, and this location was perfectly located to access all of them (rainforest, easy 45 min drive to San Juan, Ceiba ferry, La Pruvite cacao farm).The condo also has great amenities. We enjoyed the basketball court, swings, and pool. Please note the pool is pretty consistently 5 ft deep- our kiddos can all swim well so we enjoyed this, but if you have young kids this may be something to consider. There is also a small children’s pool though!!Check-in was straightforward and easy. It was so quiet and peaceful the entire 9 days we stayed. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect place for our vacation ! Super clean and it has everything you need and more. So open that the balcony feels part of the condo. Loved having meals in the balcony.

This was everything we expected and more! Perfect location, beautiful apartment, and gorgeous views! I would highly recommend this property!!

I experienced several issues during my stay, and while the property manager did respond, it took two full days of back-and-forth to get everything resolved. The refrigerator was malfunctioning from the moment we arrived the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the constant alarm ringing wasn't addressed until Friday. This alarm impacted our sleep quality. On top of that, the only television in the unit didn’t work and had to be replaced, which meant we couldn’t enjoy any football games, movies, or family time around the TV during those days.To make matters worse, we had to leave the apartment unlocked while the repairs were being handled, so we didn’t feel comfortable going far with all our belongings inside. Overall, the disruptions and delays significantly affected our stay.
