Everything was very clean and tidy, enough space in the bedroom and bathroom. The host was super responsive, kind, got us a nice bottle of prosecco and even helped taking us to the Sorrento train station.

We had such a lovely stay here and couldn’t recommend it enough, especially because of how welcoming and accommodating Nello was throughout our trip.
Nello was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a hire car, but he still kindly offered to give us lifts whenever we needed them. He even invited us out one evening with his wife, such a thoughtful and personal touch that made our stay feel really special.
Every day, Nello left bottled water and fresh fruit in the fridge for us, and the apartment’s cleaner came in every day, which was such a lovely bonus and kept everything fresh and tidy throughout our stay.
The apartment itself is very authentically Italian, which we absolutely loved. The location is also fantastic for exploring the area. It’s around a 5-minute walk to the train station, where you can get a direct train into Sorrento, the journey is only around 5 minutes. From Sorrento, you can then easily get ferries to places such as Capri, Positano and Amalfi. The trains run roughly every hour, and there are frequent ferry services too, making it really easy to get around without having to drive everywhere.
We also found it surprisingly easy to walk back from central Sorrento. It took us around 50 minutes, but it’s a very straightforward walk with essentially just one route and no complicated turnings. We didn’t even need to use maps! We simply recognised the turning for the apartment and it was right there. As we visited in September, the evenings were still lovely and warm, so we actually enjoyed walking back most nights.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The apartment, location and especially Nello’s hospitality made our holiday even more enjoyable. We felt incredibly welcomed and looked after, and we would highly recommend!
Honestly, there was nothing we could fault in terms of the apartment or Nello as a host, everything was fantastic. The only thing worth mentioning is that it was a little tricky to find the apartment when we first arrived, particularly as we were travelling by car.
Our maps took us to the correct general area but showed that we had arrived at the destination when we were actually at the Esso fuel station nearby. There is a small alleyway just to the left of the fuel station, with the apartment further up on the left. As we were in the car, we couldn’t drive up the alleyway, which made it a little confusing initially.
Thankfully, we had Nello’s number and were able to contact him. He came to find us and was waiting for us when we arrived, then kindly led us to the secure parking area before walking us back to the apartment and showing us around.
So this definitely isn’t a fault with the host or the apartment, just something to be aware of if you’re arriving by car for the first time. Once we knew where it was, it was very easy and we had no issues for the rest of our stay!

Nuestra estancia en Casa Pozzillo fue maravillosa. Nos sentimos muy bien cuidadas por Nello, quien estuvo siempre pendiente de nosotras y de que todo estuviera perfecto. Agradecemos muchísimo todos sus detalles, especialmente que cada día nos sorprendiera con algún aperitivo. Además, tuvo la amabilidad de recogernos y llevarnos a la estación, un gesto que valoramos enormemente.
La casa es preciosa, muy limpia, acogedora y con mucho encanto, conservando ese estilo auténtico que la hace tan especial. Además, está muy bien ubicada, cerca de todo y en una zona muy conveniente para recorrer los alrededores.
Nos llevamos un recuerdo muy bonito de nuestra estancia y, sobre todo, de la hospitalidad de Nello. Sin duda, esperamos volver pronto. ¡Gracias por hacernos sentir como en casa y por cuidarnos tan bien! 💕

A lovely little place down a side street clean, and with a nice little kitchen. It had good working air con. A built in cooker which had cupboard doors on it, most usual but very effective.
A good sized bedroom and small balcony.
Our host Nello was so sweet he brought extra sheets when I asked and put cakes and drinks in the fridge and insisted on bringing doughnuts every morning but at an hour which was too early for us.
He even offered to take us out for a pizza and give us a lift to the train station, but unfortunately we were too busy to take him up on it.
Downstairs had no TV just a tiny sized one in the bedroom which was the size of a computer moniter.
