Yangshou Ancient Garden Boutique Hotel has so many plus features that it is hard to know where to start, but let’s start with the staff. Julia, the owner, took care of us exceptionally well from the moment we booked our one-night stay. She stayed in touch frequently, checking on our needs for arrival and what we wanted to do while in Yangshou. She was ready and eager to arrange everything. Julia organized a driver to meet us at our Ferry when we disembarked, which made it very easy to arrive at the hotel. The staff who greeted us presented options for our evening entertainment and then organized our transportation, including one of the staff coming to the city by scooter when we were ready to return to the hotel to make sure we connected with our ride back. The staff were exceedingly friendly and enthusiastic throughout our stay. The hotel itself is charming, more beautiful and unique than the photos convey. The environment is very quiet because the hotel is tucked away from the street, surrounded by nature. The room we stayed was spacious and so lovely. We enjoyed the bath, large comfy bed, sitting area, the breakfast room, the koi pond, and swimming pool. Our stay felt magical and so comfortable. The staff were eager to meet our every need to make our stay memorable. All this care for us and we could stay only one night. We hope we can return. Julia, Jennie, Sophia and the rest of the amazing staff won our hearts.

The two bedside lamps could use an upgrade. The bulbs were not sitting in their proper position solidly. Except for this, the property is so darling and wonderful.

Perfect setting to wind down. The place is exquisite. Set against a mountain backdrop with stunning views. Staff are sweet and attentive and their English is superb. Recommend having the beer fish for dinner and watching the sunset. Taking the e-bicycle tour in the morning along the Yulong river. Close enough to e-hail into town but just enough out to have some real peace and tranquility.
