A nice place just next to the shore close to the Penguins. A walk at night would see penguins around. However, be careful as they may be walking around in the dark.

Location to the beach and shops and eateries was great. Everything is in close walking distance. Day trips to Smithton is only 20 mins by car.
Straight off the bat on our first night, a bright outside light shone through the window and door blinds making it hard to sleep. It was hard to sleep as the mattress and pillows were extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. We felt the walls of our motel room need to be thicker and soundproofed as we could hear every single sound in the rooms next to us, and also behind us during the night. We were not offered any clean towels over the 3 nights we stayed. The room itself was quite stuffy and hot even with the window open, we were told not to change the temperature setting on the heat pump as it would freeze and be hard to restart. The side tables and touch lamps were both dusty, and the floor had to be swept by us when we arrived. Things have definitely changed a lot since we stayed a few years ago and I don’t see us staying here again in the future.
