We only stayed one night as we were on a short trip to visit relatives. The Greyhound was an excellent place to stay. Clean, comfortable and amazingly good value with a good full breakfast included in the price.
Mark, the manager, was great. He phoned the day before our arrival to warn us about nearby roadworks which could have been a bit of a problem had he not alerted us.
On arrival he also upgraded us to a suite, so the stay became even better value for money.
I can thoroughly recommend the Greyhound as an excellent place to stay when visiting Dorset. We'll definitely be back!

I had booked a triple room not knowing we had a separate sitting room, was lovely. All our meals we had were fantastic
The pub was the only thing in the village but did not affect us so not really a thing we didn’t like, just a note for other guests

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt I need to on this occasion - the place is lovely with secure parking and I had a lovely meal but I feel the need to comment on the staff - just the most welcoming, friendly and accommodating people.
The guys on check in and in the bar in the evening were great but I need a special mention for Bryony (think that was her name as only overheard it) who was working in the morning was just outstanding - I’ve staying in 5 star hotels all over the world and she provided better service than any of them…
I checked out late as I made a mistake with check out time but she was happy to let me get some work done in the bar before I left and was so helpful with tea and toast etc while I worked….and all with a smile on her face! Literally could not have been more accommodating. It was all very appreciated.
So just a big thanks to all the staff - you were all great and set the place apart from similar guesthouses I’ve stayed

pub was closed it would have been good to have been told that no shops locally just some crappy old garage about 10 mile away
