Paradise Beach Cottage is a newly renovated house located on the north side of the most beautiful part of the Island of Spanish Wells. The home sits directly in front of the most beautiful sand bar which surrounds a lovely lagoon... which gives the feel of your own swimming pool, but in the ocean! You will undobtedly never forget this magical location of your dream vacation!
You can choose to either relax on the beach and enjoy a cocktail, or swim in the most pristine, crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean while watching the most beautiful sunset in the world. Spanish Wells is a small fishing village with a population of about 2000 people. The beach is always available and never crowded so you can feel like you're on your own private island. The waters around this Island are a fisherman's dream for things like bone-fishing, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, diving, and much more. We have been cruising in the Bahamas since 1960. This was our first extended stay ( 2 weeks ) on Spanish Wells. Great visit.
The beach front cottage was well located, well equipped and comfortable. The Roberts were very gracious hosts.
- Pinder taxi/ferry took us round trip from the airport to the SW dock.
- gas powered golf cart got is around.
- large grocery was within walking distance. Good services.
- long sandbar and large tidal pool out front were great for walking and swimming. Several kite boarders were out on windy days.
- the Sand Bar out on Russell Island is worth the drive.
We hope to make a return visit.
