What a memorable excellent stay.

Location location location! Bruno was friendly, very helpful and gone out of his way to help with everything we needed. Apartment is modern and comfortable. Close to beach, close to restaurants and situated in old town. Loved it!

Terrible experience due to a forced cancellation on the day of our reservation

Nothing

We made a reservation on May 18th for accommodation spanning from May 22nd to May 26th. After receiving a confirmation email for the reservation, we sent an inquiry regarding key pickup and access to the property, to which we received no response. Shockingly, on the day of the reservation (May 22nd) at 3:55 am, we were informed via email that our reservation had been cancelled due to overbooking. This forced us to scramble to find another place to stay for the night. Fortunately, it wasn't peak season and we managed to find alternative accommodation. Thanks to the assistance of booking.com, we received a refund for the price difference. Regardless, the experience was extremely stressful. Picture this: trying to secure a four-night accommodation in Split, a highly sought-after tourist destination, on the same day. If it were peak season, we would have had to either sleep outdoors or cancel our entire trip. Looking at other's reviews, the accommodation itself seems good. However, if you are considering this apartment, I urge you to be aware of the risk of experiencing the same issue we did. While it appears I'm the only one sharing this type of experience, it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm the only one who has suffered from such a forced cancellation. I was initially unable to post this review because my reservation was cancelled. However, I requested booking.com to grant me permission to share my experience with others. Mistakes can happen, I understand that. However, the fact that they only notified us on the day of the reservation, with no subsequent contact or apology, is unacceptable. I still hope to receive a detailed explanation or, at the very least, an apology.
