Dave, the owner, greeted everyone at breakfast. He is genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the local area. All the food was fresh, local produce (where possible), beautifully cooked and presented well. I had THE best Welsh breakfast. A big plus too, was the ambience of the guest parlor. The room I shared with my mum was very cosy and had a few thoughtful additions eg, dressing gowns, slippers.
The only thing I would have enjoyed more was an extra night.

The room was well decorated, they put in effort. And so many towels! I have long hair so I always appreciate that. Location is superb, you are literally steps away from one of the village main attractions (Pont-y-Pair Bridge). My room faced the river, I could see it and hear it. Town centre is a 3min walk away. Mountain hike starts right behind the house. Those home made beans at breakfast - chef's kiss. 100% recommend anyone to stay here!
The parking lot is small. I recommend arriving early. Push comes to shove - there is a paid parking lot by the bridge.
