ALPENHOF Mountain Lodge

Location and very accommodating host

NA

The property is clean and modern. The kitchen has all the appliances you need.

Sound proofing could be improved but I can uds it’s quite normal for wood furnishings. Room can be slightly bigger. The toilet signs for showering can be improved. I actually went to the showering room at my level(which turns out that it’s for males! I thought there’s only 1 showering room for that level until 2 days later I went up to have a look and saw the female one). My husband also saw 1 female coming out from the male shower room too. Suggestion: can indicate a sign to say that female showing facility is at lvl 2 or 3. Cz for us who cnt read a foreign language, we enter the shower place once we see the shower head logo without looking closely whether it’s a male or female logo. 🤭

Great location, great communal kitchen

a little too small

I guess, it does have everything you need for a stay. The view from out room was very nice, not under but above .

First thing first, we drove from Belgium to this place, 9+ hour. Its a last minute booking, its was late and we were soo tired and was ready to get to this place and go to sleep right away. Once there, you were supposed to find your name on a board and it tell you which room is yours. The door is just open and the key is in the room. We couldn't find our name. But I did saw 3 room with the same name. So I went up to check, just maybe there was a mistake. First room I tried to see if its open, a guy halve asleep open it, I said sorry, I was looking for our room. He said to check the board downstairs. Then I check the other one, a girl was in there, the last room was free but not what I book, this was a family room with 6 bed instead of 2. We went back down and I then decided to call the owner. Long story shorter, the room with the guy already in it was supposed to be our room. So we got a call back after waiting on the call for halve or so hour, that our room will be ready in 10min. That room where the guy was sleeping in. I know that's how it works, but still, some guy was here less then 30min ago, sleeping in the bed that we now have to sleep in, I still smell the guy and it's just feel weird and the bed was still warm. The owner said he will make up to us the next day, I wasn't expecting anything, since we have to leave early again. He didn't even call back the next day. Other then that, our room on the second floor, nr8. Right next to the stairs, across is the bathroom and so what next to us was the toilet. We were soo tired that you would think we will fall asleep directly. But no, you hear everything and I mean everything. If someone flush, all the water rush through the ceiling and or wall, the door of every room that open and close. The footsteps in the hallways, and unlucky us, also the footsteps on the stairs that's is right next to our bed. It was the worse night ever.
