Great view, just not a great stay

The view of Camps Bay was tremendous.

They knew they had a plumbing issue before we arrived and did nothing about it. They never switched on the water heater and the carpet was wet from the leak in the kitchen. The tub shower also backed up and we could not use the kitchen sink or the washing machine.

Not what we booked

Clean and spacious.

Biggest disappointment was being moved to a different property than the one listed and booked. We were informed after we hailed an uber to the original location and as it was getting dark, not the safest feeling. The WiFi also was only reliable in the middle of the night. For the price of this stay - we wanted something more secluded and relaxing but instead were right off main strip with lots of noise at night.

Extremely disappointing and unsafe stay ruined my vacation

I didn’t like anything especially their service

This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. The electricity went out for the entire evening, and we did not get power back until close to 10 PM. What made it even worse was that everyone else in the neighborhood had electricity. We were the only ones without it. The house has so many stairs, and without electricity it became completely dark and extremely cold. We were essentially trapped in one room trying to stay warm. We couldn’t even comfortably or safely walk to the bathroom because of how dark the house was. It was especially concerning because our phones were also running out of battery, so we couldn’t even rely on our phone flashlights. We ended up not eating anything and going to bed hungry that night. This was completely unacceptable, especially for a property that charges guests to stay there. When we contacted the host about a partial refund, we were told that after checkout they would speak with management and process something. We trusted them to make it right. Instead, a couple of days later, we received an email saying they would not refund us anything. The complete lack of concern or compensation after such a serious inconvenience is extremely disappointing. Losing electricity for an entire evening is bad enough, but being left in a dark, cold, unsafe house while everyone around us had power made this experience much worse. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking this property. If something goes wrong during your stay, don’t expect the management to take responsibility or make things right.
