The host, Gordon, was very welcoming. The bedroom has a large double bed, which was very comfortable. There was a kettle and coffee/tea making facilities in the bedroom plus a chocolate biscuit and packet of crisps. There was a TV, which Gordon showed me how to use. There was a bathroom with toilet and shower over the bath next to my room. The water was hot. Kitchen facilities were great and there was a lounge and dining room with large table and chairs. Continental breakfast was included with 4 cereals, porridge, rolls, bread, jams, coffee and tea. Talking with Gordon was great too.
There was nothing to dislike.

The owner Gordon is a lovely man, really really nice old stick, and clearly enjoys the company.
The room was a nice size and he clearly didn't mind us travelling with a dog
He was OK for us to use the kitchen as we needed, and it was a help yourself to breakfast, which he showed me around
Shared bathroom
The beds needed some TLC they were very squeaky everytime you moved it squeaked.
Gordon could only recommend the hotel for somewhere to eat - however we found the New Inn in Keiss and the food there was excellent, the ladies running it were also very nice. I have to say we ended up spending the evening with a local called Alan who kept us entertained along with his partner (??)
