We loved that our host was warm and attentive and met us at the airport bus drop off to take us to our accommodation. He took time to show us the flat and messaged us periodically throughout our stay to make sure that we had everything we needed.

🚨 SCAM ALERT: DO NOT BOOK — SAFETY RISK AND €1,500 FINANCIAL LOSS 🚨 Watch out, this is a scam. My experience with this property (Watermelon BCN managed by Arian Mostaedi) was a total nightmare that ended in a forced early evacuation, resulting in a loss of over €1,500. As per other reviews of this property, the host does this completely on purpose to manipulate and trap guests. I have already taken formal legal measures against this fraud. The photos are totally outdated from 2010, so are all the furniture. The major issues encountered: * Intentional Modus Operandi: Other public reviews confirm that the host intentionally misleads guests and repeats these exact abusive patterns on purpose as part of a systematic scam. * False Advertising: The property completely diverged from the online listing. Essential amenities were broken, including a shattered/broken shower door, the terrace does not belong to the apartment, but to the building, and anyone can access the flat. * WhatsApp Harassment: The host heavily violated platform policies by bypassing official communication channels. Manipulating me to leave the apartment I booked, insisting me to change properties to another apartment on another address I never seen before. I requested a blender days prior my check in date. The host uses those requests to promises that he will bring the requested item, to continuously harass with messages and phone calls. Arian the host called me 8 times non stop and sent 14 messages for a blender he never brought. And is always around the property, announced. * Severe Safety Threat for Solo Female Traveler: As a woman traveling alone, the host's highly inappropriate and intrusive behavior put my physical safety, sleep and privacy at risk, forcing me to flee the property after only 4 nights out of a 13-night contract. The host uses items requests to make promises that he will bring the requested item, to continuously harass with messages and phone calls.

Altogether just right.

The location is excellent apart from having to climb five flights of stairs. Very quiet at nighttime despite being right in the centre of Barcelona. Only an eight or nine minute walk to the Sagrada Familia which was perfect for me. The host is a very warm friendly person who responded immediately to any queries I had and gave me excellent information. He tries hard to please and was very accommodating. There were plenty of teas, coffee, and some water and a beer left for me, also some fruit and fruit juice - much appreciated after a long journey. You can see the top of the towers of the Sagrada Familia from the back of the apartment.

There was no folder or notes so it was difficult to find the relevant wifi password. I thought that 25 euros late checking in fee was quite a lot, this can go up to 50 euros after 11pm. However, my host waived the 50 when I arrived very late (owing to my taxi not turning up on time) and only charged the 25, and he was warm and friendly, very kind and likeable.

les portes ferment mal ce qui fait que l'on entend tout ce qu'il se passe dehors, difficile pour dormir. Pas de volet ou gros rideau dans la chambre, du il fait jour. beaucoup trop de marche.
