Kowit homestay is a place that you just have to experience for yourself. If you looking for calm, serenity and being far from everything, then, Kowit farmstay is exactly what you need. Not very easy to get to on your own, so best to have a taxi drive you from Chiang Mai and the owner has contacts that he will provide. Bonus point is the excellent and very big dinner!

The fact that we stayed at a working farm and able to see the how the rice was harvested. Mr Cowit was very friendly and his family super helpful. It made it a memorable stay

I loved the setting, really really nice. Also a very friendly host and family. He specially turned on the lights outside our little house so the insects would go there and not inside. Indeed, no mosquitoes at all. The view was awesome, nice breeze, did not need an airconditioner. Mama cooked a nice meal.
Unfortunately the place was a bit dilapidated, especially the bathroom. Toilet was worn out and looking dirty (but it may not have been) and the water tap was totally loose. The curtains in the bathroom did not close (and then you were out in the open) . Mattress quite hard. In the restaurant the chairs and pillows were not very clean. They were closing for 3 months and I really really hope they will upgrade!
