The BEST host one could ask for!!! Hands down our favourite place to stay due to Milan and his Mum. So kind, helpful and happy to accommodate some extenuating circumstances. His Mum is super talented our breakfast was truly magnificent all home cooked. She also does art and sewing. We bought some of it to take home. Beautiful situation, amazing people. The best!!!
We all loved our stay here!!

The welcome and host Milan, who could not do enough to make sure our stay was comfortable and helped with all of our arrangements. Whether sorting the best guides or advice and booking tuk tuks. The homemade traditional Sri Lanka breakfast was excellent, made by his mum, and well worth trying.
It was perfect for what we needed

Amazing Breakfast and a lovely room with great AC and a clean bathroom

The staff was kind but the language barrier was very challenging. The AC and fan worked fine. The garden is very beautiful and has a peaceful atmosphere and view to a lake. Breakfast is okay but I’ve had better in Sri Lanka for cheaper.
The infrastructure is not so well taken care of. The walls are in poor condition, and the overall feeling is that the place is a bit abandoned… I’ve definitely stayed in cheaper but way better places in Sri Lanka, honestly. I think management should take a good look at how they’re running the business bc it doesn’t seem too healthy. Also, the communication of prices for services has to improve. I did my laundry at the hotel, was charged more than at a laundromat nearby and it didn’t even include ironing… which in any laundromat does. Same goes for bike rental service. I had the impression the service was free but in the end, it was not the service itself but the entry to the free part of the sacred city. Not a huge problem, just inconvenient.
