Convenient location, immediately off the motorway, to stop over for a night before heading south to Sydney or north to Northern Rivers or Gold Coast.
Our deluxe cabin was spacious but basic. Despite the close proximity to the highway we did not experience annoying traffic noise. The dams add interest and will be more pleasant once tree planting is completed. The cactus garden is quite amazing.
Price was very reasonable.
Location is not close to shops (guests should cone prepared. Even reception sells very little.
The park is somewhat austere but will be improved with the proposed tree planting.

It was close to the main road, so we didn’t need to re route to a town. We got a cabin at the back so it was quiet, the closer sites to the road would have road noise. The kids liked the cockatoo, although the cage should be larger. The room was pretty clean and large. Overall we would stay again for an overnight stay along our road trip, but don’t go out of your way to come here or make it more than 1 night.
A few mosquitoes/ bugs from the lakes around, the road was a bit close/laud, some cabins are permanently occupied with people living there, which we weren’t expecting
