De rust, het gebruik van ligbedden in de tuin en het uitzicht op zee. Ook de publieke zwemplek net buiten het hek is fijn om even af te koelen. (Gebruik wel waterschoenen)
Het appartement heeft een fijne douche en een smart tv met o.a. Netflix. Ook het bed ligt comfortabel. De supermarkt is op loopafstand. Historische sites in Catania, Syracuse en Ortigia zijn met auto binnen een uur te bereiken.
De fotos van zeezicht zijn genomen vanaf het grote terras boven het appartement wat hoort bij de familie. Vanaf het krappe zitje direct voor deur is beperkt zicht op de zee. Dus voor zeezicht moet je afdalen naar de punt van de tuin. Leuk voor wat relaxmomenten maar voor nuttigen van maaltijden ongeschikt. De tuin compenseert niet volledig het kleine zitje voor de deur. De indruk van een privé vakantieshuis, kan teleurstelling opleveren. De familie woont namelijk pal boven het appartement met het grote privé terras en naast het appartement is een twee appartement. De foto’s zijn op dit punt misleidend.

Indipendente, isolata nel verde, accesso sul mare e giardino privato con ombrellone e lettini.
Climatizzatore in casa sotto dimensionato. Ce n’è solo in corridoio.

Very close to the water, big and beautiful garden leading to a relatively private rocky beach.
It is inconvenient without a car, but we anticipated that, so it’s okay. We would have appreciated more supplies in the kitchen, more oil and dish soap, we started our stay with very little of both - so it would be nice to have an extra bottle on hand, especially since the stay is relatively long :)
There was a blackout due to the AC overuse (perhaps), which is very common in the summer.

De vrijheid van makkelijk komen en gaan, onafhankelijk. De beschikbaarheid van parkeren voor de deur, de beschikbaarheid van faciliteiten (supermarkt) in de buurt. Het was er superrusting, perfect wat dat betreft en mooi uitzicht over zee en naar de Etna.
De kookspullen waren onder de maat. Sanitair liep niet goed. Geen comfortabele zitplek binnen. Voor Italië geldt dat WiFi snelheden achterlopen en 5G was soms niet beschikbaar wat voor wat problemen heeft gezorgd.
