I absolutely loved my stay here! My room has windows on 3 sides, balcony on 2 sides, steps to the rooftop patio, & given the decent size room it feels so spacious. Priceless views of the mountains! I got some of my best mountain pics here, despite just having done Khopra Danda. The location in Lakeside is super convenient, and a bit quieter than busier areas up the street.
The building is a bit experienced, but very well kept... fresh paint, and so clean, such a nice feeling. Lots of greenery and gardens. Hot water always there, and when the power went out, lights and fan ran on backup power. In fact, I rarely needed the AC or fan anyway, thanks to the excellent cross-ventilation through the screened windows.
The family owners speak good english, important for a monoglot like myself. And so helpful! The typical omelet-toast-fruit plate breakfast I usually had in the garden is a fine deal that gets you out the door at a very reasonable price. Although the couple of in-room fridges available were already spoken for, they kindly offered me access to the hotel's fridge and kitchen. Just another example of how accommodating they are.
And finally, it's just a few hundred metres from the bus station... and they made my get away easy
Honestly, it's hard to imagine finding better value at this price point. Great views, a spacious and comfortable room, a peaceful yet convenient location, and genuinely helpful hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!
