Breakfast was very adequate.
Staff are very friendly and helpful
The only thing that we didn't like were the potholes on the R600

The friendliness of the staff and the breathtaking environment. Peaceful with beautiful views.
The restaurant has a lovely ambiance.

Very good quality food especially soups , lamb chops and porthouse steak....rump steak tough. Very interesting decor in main building illustrating Boer and Zulu wars.
Bedroom furniture rather tired and bathroom efficient but old and needed modernising. Boat trips haven't been available for some months, yet still advertised. Though apparently in a 700 hectare game farm, no game visible and reception knew nothing of river walk. Game safari in Spion Kop nature reserve rather disappointing, as animals only seen at some distance, no giraffes at all.
Finally , no receipts were issued for drinks, snacks, dinners, bar purchases....only a non itemised bill on checkout, so totally reliant on their system being correct.
