We enjoyed the meals. They are not a luxury, but very well made and a nice variety and well made. It is wonderful that they use many local foods. The onsen is great, it is open all day and you can go to many different pools. They have different temperatures and are very nice.
We did have some trouble going between the outside pools. The stones are rather uneven and slippery. They are trying to remedy this with mats laid down. Everyone just needs to watch their step and be careful

The friendly staff and the quality of the dinner, the inside onsen
The hotel and especially the outside onsen would really benefit from a thorough renovation which is certainly overdue since many years
