Penang is quite crowded with tourist and even vehicles. We so surprised 😮 that penang have changes with sky crapes building and long bridge straight to the town with tol. Direction is so clear.
When we check - in the front Office was so knowledgeable and efficient.Our check - in goes so smooth after long driving from s'pore.
Room was so clean n tidy , comfortable. We have shower and straight to bed and rest as so tired. Facilities in room are so well maintained only the drinking filter tap is not functioning/ faulty.
But we manged to take the water from tap as the hotel indicated sustainability environmental.
F&B Mgrs are so friendly and welcome both of us. The restaurant is so spacious and beautiful deco. So many variety of food display and just choose it accordingly to your appetite.
Overall our stay is so happy and enjoying.
We thank you to the front Office staff and the security who always so helpful. Keep it up.
Just feedback the hotel is at the end near ferry terminal , we might miss the hotel as no signage located at road junction turning inside, only base on the waze direction only.
The Royale Chulan Penang road are quite busy in the late afternoon, so avoid from the congestion.

Staff were kind and the room was immaculately clean when we arrived. Not too far to walk to the main tourist areas. There was a good variety of foods at breakfast.
The attic suites are built into the eaves and have noisy air vents going all of the time. Housekeeping didn’t come to refresh our room during our stay without multiple reminders and eventually came early evening. So busy at breakfast that there was a queue of people waiting just to get seated for 20 minutes. The bath in the room was unusable due to very high sides and the (wonky) tap not allowing any cold water to mix with the hot. I suspect a lot of the issues would be sorted with better staffing levels. Email from parent company requesting feedback was answered but no response from them. Disappointing
