Breakfast was good and location was good. Restaurants were very near to the hotel.

Breakfast was excellent (not wonderful) due to the wide variety of local foods and beverages. They tried to alleviate the crush of diners by allowing reservations when the line is out of hand but it wasn’t enough. Room was okay and location was okay once we found the hotel (look for the cross street that looks like it has an enormous green pyramid at the harbor).
Seems like the property is aging. Being in the bathroom tub squeaks so much it sounds like it’s about to fall thru the floor.
Too many people are there for breakfast that the crowd needs handling but isn’t. Going thru the long line, by the time I sat down the food was cold. We were told to be on the alert for bears, esp. at night, but dining options were few and far away.

It's a hotel focused on providing the most comfortable stay possible. The view was great and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is extremely accommodating and careful. They handled my luggage forwarding carefully. The breakfast was better than most hotel breakfast experiences. Natsume-San was gracious and spoke to me in English and tolerated my broken Japanese. I appreciated his assistance signing up for the JAL One Harmony loyalty program and getting a discount. That's a huge bonus for slower late checkinh out and lowering meal costs substantially. I will always book this hotel when I am in Aomori.
It's not at the station, per say. It's a 3 block walk so it's just far enough to be a little annoying with luggage, but almost too short to justify a taxi. I wouldn't let that stop you. Get the taxi and relax your legs. It's worth the extra distance and it's very quiet. You'll sleep great.

Location good near train station and restaurants.
The staff were very friendly.
It was very dated decor in the room. Poor quality mattress.
Price was quite expensive compared to other hotels we stayed in given the quality of the interiors.
