The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The staff were mainly very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant food was delicious.
Unfortunately for £220 it wasn't good value for money. The drawer handle below the sink was filthy, something easily rectified. The heating wasn't on when we arrived, it was cold and raining when we came and the room took a good half hour to warm up. An immediately cosy room would have been nice. The tea tray only had one biscuit and reception rather reluctantly gave us another one. Also the breakfast upon booking the room was misleading: we expected a full Scottish to be included but it was just a rather disappointing continental.

I liked the breakfast and the chat with the owner.
The check in!! I had arrived 3/4 hr early as I had been driving for 3 hours, it was raining heavily and the storm was getting worse. The man at the desk said the room wasn't ready, he was clocking off, check in was at 4pm and then left on his break. I was left there until exactly 4pm on the dot. The room was underwhelming and the view from it was onto a roof. Chipped paint, dirty windows. For this price? Really? Never again I'm afraid!
