From checking in to checking out the experience was excellent.
Arrived at 18.45pm and was asked if I was eating there, so looked at the menu and ordered a Steak Pie and was told as they are cooked to order it would be about 45 minutes, not very often you are advised about this so ordered dinner then was shown to my room, wow what a space, very clean and comfortable, then went for dinner, I can honestly say it was one of the best pies ever, full of chunks of steak that just melted and so tasty.
Breakfast was also excellent.
The staff could not do enough for you,.
With work I stay in many hotels over the year and the New Inn is up there in my top 3.

Location was convenient for the event we were attending and the village is pretty.
The facilities and decorating need updating - old carpets and dark paint lend a rather depressing air. The landlord has been described as lacking social skills and this is true.
