Tenuta Belvedere

Il nostro soggiorno alla Tenuta di Benedetto è stato davvero speciale. Fin dal primo momento ci siamo sentite accolte con tanta gentilezza e disponibilità. Abbiamo amato la bellezza della struttura, immersa tra gli alberi, quasi fosse un piccolo bosco a due passi dal mare, con una vista meravigliosa dal balcone della nostra camera. Un luogo tranquillo e rilassante, ma allo stesso tempo comodissimo per raggiungere la spiaggia, il centro e la stazione. Grazie di cuore a Benedetto per la sua ospitalità e per il graditissimo upgrade, che abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo. Torneremmo altre mille volte e, quando torneremo a Otranto, sceglieremo sicuramente di nuovo questo posto meraviglioso!

This is the kind of wonderful place I would like to keep a secret, so I can go back there and have it all to myself! But that would not be fair to the lovely kind staff and thoughtful owner. It's really unique (I think) - a set of cottages subdivided into flats in an old, wooded estate, with a feeling of the countryside, but very close to Otranto station, 5 minutes walk down a pedestrianised street to the sea front restaurants, 10 or 15 minutes walk to the centre of the old town, and 10 minutes to good beaches. Loads of safe parking. A good supermarket opposite the entrance. Our prettily-decorated flat had staggering amounts of space, a full kitchen, loads of places to sit, two large balconies. They even gave us a map of the best restaurants with vouchers for 10% off at some of them (well worth it)! I just hope that we get a chance to go back... writing this is making me nostalgic. PS I just read the owner's responses to the previous reviews. They give more detailed information and a bit of history and the ethos of the place. Thank you again!

I felt I had to knock off a star for facilities, due to lack of WiFI (except in the office). But if you are so glued to your apps that you need that much WiFI, you might not be in the right place anyway. No problem getting mobile data. We were there in perfect weather (late September). If you go when it's cold, check with the owners about heating before you go. It's a little difficult to find with a car the first time, especially in the dark. Luckily the staff were there to wave us in, so it was not a problem! For the benefit of future drivers: the entrance is a modest green gate on the left, on the second linked roundabout just as you turn to enter Via Stazione.

Sehr gepflegte Anlage, Gastgeber war freundlich und bemüht. Sehr gute, ruhige Lage, Ortskern und Badestrand fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.

Das Mobiliar ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, Bett und Waschmaschine ausgenommen.
