It was perfect for what we needed. Comfortable bed, enough space to hang our clothes and safe and secure and in an easy location to get to both Port D'Italie and Maison Blanche metros. If you're looking for local things (instead of going into central), it's a 15 minute walk from a lovely little boulangerie called Madame Guymot and 30 min walk from Butte-aux-Cailles, a nice little area full of beautiful art and boulangeries and brasseries!
Agree with other reviews that the bathroom (particularly the shower) is very small however as above, we barely spent any time at the hotel so if you're just looking for a place to rest your head and a quick spruce before exploring Paris, it's not an issue. Both times we had our rooms serviced, our key card stopped working so had to go down to the desk to get it sorted - might be some kind of error happening on the system so wanted to flag!

The location was great and the beds were clean. It can take you 40 minutes to go to the Eiffel tower which in Paris is nothing and the commute felt comfortable. The hotel is 4 minutes away from the closest metro station. The toilet/shower is very small indeed. Do not expect much for breakfast. As with everything in Paris the prices are soaring and you can tell this hotel is trying to keep their profit margins up while delivering the best value for the money. To have breakfast in this budget range is very rare at least for our search during this season and dates.
We did NOT read the reviews from Google Maps. I recommend you check them before, they mention things that I was not aware of when I first booked this hotel through Booking.com. Important to mention that NOTHING happened in our short stay. We read the Google reviews on the day and time of check in and we tried to cancel the reservation and get our money back but the hotel has a strict policy so it would have taken days for an answer. Something to have in mind.
