The location overlooking the Douro River near the San Luis bridge can't be beat. The room was comfortable.
Our room was not ready at check-in. We ended up being moved to another building and finally got in about 40 minutes late. Be aware that it is a walk up. We were on the 4th floor which was not a problem for us but you need to be OK carrying your suitcase up a lot of stairs.

Location was great
Access was tough. Lots of stairs, dark hallways, etc

Great location. Although the building itself is quite old, the remodeling of the apartments is done beautifully
We prefer a “human” at reception but it was very easy to contact by phone or message when we had a small problem with door codes. Everything was solved quickly and gave us confidence in the lodging

The property was beautiful. The room was very clean, the location was great, and there was a great view of the river. Restaurants were all around and there were lively street vendors and performers on the weekends.
Communication with the host was nonexistent. Entry codes/instructions were not sent prior to checkin. Luckily the listing mentioned contacting the restaurant downstairs for help. They were caught off guard, but able to help me enter the room. The listing specified WiFi would be available in the room. No WiFi information could be found and the host did not respond to messages asking for the information.
