Perfectly situated for entry to Iguaçu National Park, the property is about 10 mins walk to the park entrance (5 mins along a wooded track and 5 mins on the road), opposite the Parc des Aves (bird park).
The property serves breakfast for guests (buffet style) and has a food truck serving mainly burgers (incl veggie) from 6-9pm (at good prices).
There was a huge storm on the first night of my stay which took the electrics out until after I left (I was there for 2 nights) but the team sorted generators to keep some services running and were great at keeping guests updated. They offered refunds if guests wanted to leave and discounts for those who opted to stay, even though the power cut was completely out of their control.
The staff were friendly and helpful, using translation apps to communicate with non-Portuguese speaking guests if they didn't know the information in the guests own language. Also happy to support guests arrange transfers to the Argentine park and to the airports etc.
Folks have to understand that this is a rural property, set in the rainforest and weather happens!!

Location: 10 mins’ walk to Cataratas do Iguaçu and
Parque das Aves, very convenient
Pros: Friendly front desk service, decent breakfast.
Cons: Hotel is extremely outdated; room was in an unmentioned metal container, no trash can, poor cell signal and frequent Wi-Fi disconnections – room condition is terrible.
