Excellent location - walking distance to almost all the attractions; many restaurants and bars close by; around the corner is the Bellini Theatre and piazza: a 5 minute walk to Piazza del Duomo, University of Catania (founded in 1434), Fish Market and Via Etnea (main historic boulevard and shopping street). Very friendly and extremely helpful owner, his two sons and the staff. The covered stone terrace is a beautifully decorated outdoor space for the hotel guests to enjoy. Room - excellent cleanliness, very comfortable bed, mini fridge, kettle and tea bags, air conditioner and a spacious bathroom. Plenty of choices for breakfast - fresh fruits, yogurt and a variety of sweet and savory foods. Considering that I stayed in the single occupancy room which does not have a balcony, I still highly recommend staying here, if you are a solo traveller.

We didn't know there was a breakfast offered.
Gate to get in and out of parking was a little tight

The staff are very helpful and the location is perfect. The room was spacious with a small balcony. I loved the technology that keeps the site secure

Lovely old building with a great history, Helpful staff and a great location to all the sites
Bed was very hard so not comfortable. Also the shower wasn’t great spraying a lot of water making the wooden floor inside the shower bay slippery.
