The bed was very comfy and we slept so well. The views out onto the harbour and city were stunning. The shower was incredibly powerful and refreshing. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was substantial and hearty.
The restaurant next door didn’t have options for vegetarians.

We wanted 2 beds and they wanted to upgrade our room with 1 bed. It was a really big nice room but we stayed with the small room and 2 beds. Staff was really sweet. Free coffee and tea anytime. I booked a room elsewhere that I cancelled and got a discount here at the last minute.

Hótel Húsavík is wonderfully located in a traditional building, up above the harbour, with magnificent views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, with exceptionally comfortable beds. It is expensive – but I can see why. Húsavík is a remote, small town, with a harsh climate and bearing that in mind, our stay was worth every penny. Many places are very accessible from Húsavík, like Lake Mývatn, and there are a lot of local activities, such as whale watching. We would definitely return here, if we get the chance!
