Everything was spot on

Good sized room, good price, reasonable location and handy pub/restaurant downstairs.
Close to a busy road if you're on that side of the hotel you can hear the traffic. Also some bar noise until closing time, but not too bad.

The oldie worldie decoration was pleasant especially downstairs.
When we arrived we emailed and pre-booked for an evening meal, but we waited nearly 1 1/2 hour after chasing numerous times we finally got it. One of the meals was cold.
The room was not that appealing and looked in need of redecoration.
The WiFi kept cutting out, the TV didn’t work and the bedside lights didn’t work.
It was a comfortable bed in a sad room.
