How clean it was, the volunteers, the location
The air conditioning too freezing, and the breakfast that it finished too early :(

The hostel is in a quite old building, it’s not luxury but does the “cheap hostel” job well. Just to be mindful particularly for solo travellers as the street is quiet and there could be homeless people hanging around; plus it’s not a particularly social hostel, the management doesn’t organise shared activities and you’re largely on your own.
The area overall is good and close to the beach but the specific street is quiet and a bit dodgy. Be careful.
The staff doesn’t particularly support the social scene, some of them don’t speak English, not even a basic level. The dormitory rooms can feel crowded, just know what to expect.
