Spacious, spotlessly clean rooms with basic facilities for self catering. A substantial, if unvaried, optional breakfast at a very reasonable price.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
A short stroll from the extensive public beach.
Very easy to find in a car. Follow signs from airport to Areopolis and the hotel is right by a roundabout at the edge of town.
Probably not suitable without a car. Tavernas etc are a short drive away.

We stayed at Hotel Fotini, Kalamata, 1 - 15 October when the weather is usually mid 20s. We found the hotel a very good location, and good value for money. It is close to the town but not in Kalamata itself. The drive from the airport is straightforward. The hotel has a good swimming pool (no shallow end for small children), and the beach is 5-10 minutes walk , with tavernas, sunbeds and a mini market. If you self-cater, Lidl is 750m away. Self-catering provision was basic.
My husband uses an electric wheelchair, and although the Hotel does not have specifically accessible accommodation, we managed OK. There is a steep ramp up to Reception, and a shallow step down to the rooms on that floor. The studio apartment was spacious with enough room for the wheelchair. The bathroom had a small walk-in shower and although small, was adequate for us, but would be difficult if you needed to get 2 people in there. The view from the balcony on that floor was gorgeous, south facing looking over the pool and the bay. There is a lift down to the pool area, and rooms on that level.
The staff were lovely, very helpful, and you just asked for the cleaners when you wanted them to come in. We found the bed comfortable, and the room had air-conditioning. We would happily stay there again.

Shower is embarrassing small and unfit for use because of the black mould in the shower base and surrounding tiles
Swimming pool appears to have green Algae and not appealing
Room lacking in comfortable seating
Hotel should have provided bottled water on guest arrival
Breakfast was extremely basic and lacked choice
