Creta Maris is a really nice resort, the property is quite big, so you only feel it crowded on the beach, otherwise there are many pools and many restaurants, people are quite dissipated. The rooms are nice, we had 2 connected rooms in a bungalow, from our rooms you could easily access the beach. The food is good, although at a certain point it is quite repetitive.
Our biggest surprise was the customer care; they were always available, answering all the questions even via email, as sometimes the reception was super crowded. Katerina helped us with a late check out that made our vacation great as we had terrible weather and only the last day we had sun and a proper temperature and with this they really helped us enjoy the day. In the restaurant everybody was super kind, helpfull and efficient.
The activities for the kids were great and sufficient.
The beds were quite uncomfortable. There was no reinforcement in the pools area regarding small kids wearing diapers in (which was a written rule and a common sense one, of course). The guests' behavior is not the resort's fault, though.

Wide spread property which offers lots of facilities and entertainment options. The hotel offers various sports and kids activities, including lovely evening programs.
It’s a 30 mins drive from the airport which is very convenient. The beds were comfortable.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food in the main restaurant is very good and even better than the à la cart options. It offers great variety and good taste.
The salad snack bar is excellent.
We booked a sea view room which offered a wonderful view in the main building.
The property has reportedly been recently renovated; however, the rooms still feel dated and do not fully reflect the standard one would expect. Unfortunately, housekeeping also fell short of expectations, as the bathrooms had not been cleaned thoroughly.
The pools advertised as heated were not sufficiently warm, making swimming virtually impossible in October. This was particularly disappointing, given that heated pools should be a key feature during this time of year.
One of our biggest concerns was the use of alcohol in the à la carte restaurants. Alcohol appears to be used in various dishes, including desserts such as apple pie, which families might naturally order for their children. However, this is not clearly indicated on the menus, either in the ingredient information or in the allergen information provided. We only discovered this after specifically asking the staff. Furthermore, there seemed to be limited flexibility in preparing dishes without alcohol, which is disappointing for families and guests who prefer to avoid it.
The overall food quality at the steakhouse was also below expectations. Similarly, the burger and waffle snack bars did not offer the level of quality expected, and I would not recommend them.
We had a very early flight and upon requesting a breakfast box or similar there was no flexibility which is very disappointing. The reason was food safety which can easily be avoided by letting guest sign a disclaimer for take out food.
Also we need to highlight that the photographers are very annoying, as they keep trying to sell their services even after mentioning that you’re not interested. The spa team on the other hand has a wonderful soft approach.
Finally, the beach service and safety supervision were concerning. Lifeguards were not visibly present at the beach when expected, and we observed them chatting with other staff near the towel station instead.

The location and the view were very nice.
The kids Club was also nice.

The food was overall good but just in the the main buffet and the a la carte restaurants.
The service of the team in the restaurant is very good.
This hotel does not meet 5-star standards and is certainly not worth the premium price we paid.
Facilities & Rooms: The resort feels outdated and lacks proper maintenance in several areas. We were assigned an old room in the Tera building and encountered various functional issues throughout our stay.
Pool Noise: Uncomfortably loud music played by the pool for most of the day, making it nearly impossible to rest or take a nap in our room—even with all windows tightly shut. It only quieted down toward the very end of our trip (likely due to multiple guest complaints).
A la Carte Dining Restrictions: The reservation system is unnecessarily restrictive. You are only allowed to book a table for the following evening, availability runs out almost instantly, and you are forbidden from booking the same restaurant twice within the same week.
Buffet Quality Misinformation: Hotel staff assured us that the buffet in the Tera building was identical to the main building's buffet. This was completely misleading—the main dining hall offered significantly better quality and variety, though it was much louder and more crowded.
Towel Policy: Losing a beach towel turned into a major hassle. The staff at the towel station (near the gym) made it difficult to obtain a replacement, which is completely unacceptable service for a luxury hotel.
Cold Pools: Despite advertising heated pools, every single swimming pool was freezing cold and not heated at all.
