The best breakfast of our entire trip - really excellent! The Pachamanca lunch is really interesting and a lovely experience. We wandered up to the main square through the farm rather than along the main road which was nice and quiet.
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent too.
Really useful for catching an early train too!

Great location, unique family owned property, very clean, great value, great location next to train station and short walk to town and Inca fortress
location next to train station is fun and fabulously convenient (literally 2 meters from tracks), but you will hear trains early morning to late evening which may bother light sleepers

The reviews for this hotel are really good so we decided to spend a little more than we usually would expecting an exceptional experience. While nothing was terrible, there was certainly nothing exceptional and at that price you do expect at least attention to detail.
To get to the hotel you need to access the train platform which gets overrun at certain times of the day. While rooms were clean, there was no shampoo or shower gel which I would consider a bare minimum for this quality of hotel.
