The highest room I rented was beautiful and It had an amazing view. I really liked it. Breakfast was good too.
Our group had an elderly person. It was hard for her to go up the hotel as you need to use stairs to get to the check in desk. And more stairs to your room, and more stairs to other facilities. Also I thought it would be bigger and ground level. One of our beds was made to appear as a king sized bed but it was actually two beds put together. That was painful to the back as it open up and my son had backache.

I love the tree house vibe of the whole place! Even though I said it was quiet, what I really meant is that it's quiet from human noises, but has the raging river right next to it, which I loved. The rooms are beautiful and clean, with a balcony overlooking the trees and the river. The views in every direction are gorgeous. Travelling in Peru, I always appreciate a hot shower with pressure. This place has it!
The location of the hotel is great, but a little away from the town center, which can be good and bad. It's great for isolation, but not so great for accessing restaurants or shops. TukTuks are available for short rides of course!

Our favourite stay of the salkantay trek (and that is saying something because we loved all our stops). Staff were so helpful with organising taxis and recommending food spots. Our room was also fantastic, coming with a balcony that gave an unreal view. Highlight of the show is Ukuku, the most friendly dog on the planet. Would 100% recommend staying here in the middle of your Salkantay trek

the owner is very friendly. breakfast was nice.
the owner’s staff, on the night we arrived were not friendly at all. they used there own exchange rate and when we wanted to pay by card, an additional 5% would be added. we were looking forward to the “dinner by candlelight”, but they did not serve dinner at all (while still it was on display on the counter. we had to go find something to eat somewhere else (which normally is okay, but we had a long day). altogether not a very warm welcome to say the least.
