I have been in hostels in several countries. I'm a hospitality professional.
This is by far, the best hostel I've ever been, in terms of facilities, cleaning and staff.
As a matter of fact, I've been in several hotels in Auckland and I can attest that the private rooms in YMCA are far, far superior than some of them while being cheaper.
Everything is new, the beds are quite comfortable, the showers and toilets are spotless and the kitchens are very nice furbished.
The front desk staff is super friendly and welcoming, the cleaning girls are superstars.
If management is reading this (I know you do), give them a raise.
Can't recommend it enough to anybody wanting a place to stay in Auckland.

Nice clean and staff friendly
One floor has a kitchen and dining room. Where as on other floor only kitchen. Maybe a dining room could be added to this floor 🤔
