Very central location close to Registan Square. Like many such traditional courtyard properties it looks unimpressive from the outside and is approached down narrow streets, but it is well signposted and lit. Once inside the courtyard you are amongst attractive plants and vines. Staff very helpful at getting taxis which cost less than the bus at home! Taxi to the airport, really early, cost about £2.25!
It was undoubtedly good value so it's petty to note that some of the laminate flooring was lifting.

I loved staying at Jahongir - the first time I had a very small room but it had everything I needed. The second time I had a bigger room, still very well equipped - even bedside lighting and a comfortable bed, neither of which are common in Uzbekistan! The breakfasts are fantastic and different every day. And the staff are very kind, and welcoming. Special mention of Asladin, who was very thoughtful and helpful. The location is convenient: a very short walk to the Registan but in a quiet street away from the tourist crowds.
