The one bedroom is perfect when travelling with kids. You have a separate bedroom and living room with separate bathroom facilities. Lots of space for our 8 month old to crawl and explore. Also everything reasonable was truly inclusive, e.g. room service, you just need to get used to the tipping culture
We felt badgered by the concierge to visit their new hotel for a tour, although we were willing, their rules were rather unreasonable and given to us piecemeal e.g. married couples must attend together and we must be there for 90 minutes, we had a baby who's sleep was unpredictable and after rescheduling twice it would've made sense for my husband to attend alone. Asides from that I absolutely loved the hotel. I did have to ring a few times for the room to be cleaned but the quality of service was always great. Finally, I think they could do better with food options. There are 4 restaurants available for dinner, Legends didn't particularly serve nice food and the rest were just okay.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean. The grounds were kept up well. Staff were friendly. The buildings are cute.
The beach is quite thin in this area. This is not a relaxing hotel, I would never recommend it to a couple. The kids are very loud and everyone wakes you up at 7am in the hallways. This is not a good value either as the food was really terrible. We didn’t pay for the all inclusive but if you’re going to pay $600 a night for all inclusive, you might as well spend another $150 a night and stay at Xcaret (there’s a kid friendly and adults only) and have good food. We did the $300 night that per booking came with a $50 credit but we had to fight to have the credit applied showing our booking on the app repeatedly and then they only did a 20% discount/it came out to a $30 credit. Dinner for 1 night was almost $150 and it was inedible. If you don’t pay for all inclusive there is nothing around unless you want to pay an overpriced taxi rate (there’s no negotiating if the hotel calls it so expect $25 to go 7-10 min) away. I much prefer staying in places like Isla where you can enjoy food outside of the hotel but we had to book 1 night here before we moved to a work trip resort which was $850/night adults only and had delicious food and grounds but a hard bed. I am very grateful for the comfortable bed.
