The resort was nice, the staff were friendly and professional and accommodated my late arrival due to really budget airline, Jetstar
The villa was poorly maintained, with paint peeling off the walls. The fridge was damaged, with broken shelves, and I had to balance the items I put in it. The fridge also had black mould in it, which was not very good.
The lounge TV did not work properly, and the couches provided were not very comfortable, with very thin foam as a seat .
The pool inlet cover on the bottom of the pool was broken, and the screw was sticking out, which wasn't very safe ( Rusty)
The kids who hired the room next door were young and loved loud music; I assumed it was a resort for mature people who wanted to relax and enjoy the tranquillity, but I was mistaken.

We had a fabulous and unforgettable stay in Seminyak, which was like a dream come true.
Villa Kayu Raja is an incredible place with a chain of one and two bedroom villas sourrounded by lush greenery and located close to the town centre, yet not too far from the Seminyak beach (15-20 minute walk). We loved the villa split on two levels, with a comfortable and cool air-conditioned bedroom, good size bathroom equipped with a spa bath and cosy living-room with a kitchenette. However, we appreciated the most our own outside swimming pool with comfy sunbeds. I have a spine condition so I enjoyed the fact I could swim and do some water exercise there a few times a day.
We adored the decor of our villa and the hotel reception. We also enjoyed the food in the hotel restaurant a lot - it was very tasty, with a big selection of foods, which never repetitive. We had all our breakfasts there, along with a few dinners. The hotel offered a spacious swimming pool on top of the building and spa treatments, which sadly, we didn't have a chance to try. Last but not least, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, with extraordinary customer service.
The water in the pool could have been a bit warmer, although it was quite refreshing in the hot weather. The living-room was set in the open air, so in the evening there were mosquitoes there, but it wasn't a big deal.

The Villa itself is very pretty and the location is quite convenient. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They can organise a floating breakfast for you.
Because of the openness of the villa to the outside pool living area, you will definitely hear your neighbours. The walls are thin so you will hear your neighbours going up and down the stairs while you’re sleeping.

Patu the driver was amazing , polite and great .
Bed was ROCKED hard and nothing made a difference, aircon broken , limited variety at breakfast as lots of stuff empty when choosing
Do not disturb sign on door as I was sleeping and housekeeping called and woke me up .
