Clean, big rooms with quick access to the lake

Staff members went above and beyond to provide guests with a pleasurable experience.
The breakfast selection was fresh, good quality and provided a little something for everyone.
The Gipfel rolls were exceptional! đź’ś
Laundry service was very helpful.
The bed was remarkably comfortable and a pleasant addition to the travel experience.
The shower stall was frustratingly small and noisy with very poor drainage.
The drainage issue was somewhat improved, with the second repair attempt…
Thankful to find, and use, the fan tower in the room, as the room was hot throughout the night, even with opened windows.
The structure is charming and with the age comes creaky noises throughout the night. Takes a few nights to adjust to.
Taxi service back up the hill to the train stop should be improved.

The hotel was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The beds were comfortable, rooms clean and spacious. The interior's ambiance was incredible! It was raining when we were there, so we didn't get to explore the grounds, but we loved our stay.

The private lakeside access
The fact that I was put in a corner room with little to no lake view at first. Coming from so far a clear and decent lake view is a prerogative. I had to pay 90 Francs more per night for a room with a view.
Also no travel discount for a travel industry related person.
