Very good location close to the beach and the main bars, restaurants and shops of Byron Bay. The motel is located on the main road in from the Highway and there’s plenty of car parking space available. On site there is a pool and a covered area next to the pool to gather the socialise.
Our room was on the first floor up a flight of stairs. The room was very capacious with a super sized bed. The room was equipped with the usual furniture, equipment and accessories one might expect to find in a motel. We had a communal balcony. Laura on reception was great, WhatsApping us as we were travelling down from the north QLD to give us the late arrival details should we be late.
This is our four motel on our travels from Port Douglas over the last month. We have developed a good understanding and expectation of what motels offer. We felt the Woolongbar had many redeeming features but needed a make over as it was tired.

Location was great. Walking distance to restaurants and the center.
Outdated, needs renovations. Ceiling pealing in the bathroom, doors and mirror also pealing. Overpriced for the location. Our room was right by the main road, very noisy.
