Staff were very helpful and the hotel is in the centre of Cardiff close to amenities. We were given clean towels and our tea and coffees were replenished.
The standard of the food at breakfast was poor. The eggs were not free range, in fact the yolks were such a pale yellow that it was difficult to see the difference between the white and the yolk. The sausages and bacon also looked very cheap. Very little choice of bread, cheap supermarket wholemeal or white for toast, bagels or muffins, no baguettes or bread baked on the premises. The only cheese that I saw was cheese slices even though the menu named several cheeses. There was no body moisturiser in the bathroon even though it was available in the toilet in the bar which I found very strange. This is not a 4* hotel.
