The Beach VANUATU

The staff were absolutely delightful and kind and helpful. I loved the garden room as well, spotless and charming with a tiny view of the beach even if it wasn’t a beach villa. Loved the outdoor shower, and brekkie was lovely.

The wifi didn’t stretch to the room but i didn’t mind that as i enjoyed the break from screens and reading a book. There was some confusion over me wanting to pay for ice with cash which they wouldn’t take, and was too small an amount for a credit card card. On check in they wanted me to put a $340 credit card deposit for food and drinks (I was only there 2 nights and as there was no mention of this in my booking conditions hadn’t prepared for this), they were very kind though when I said I could not do it as it would limit my funds for my 5 day holiday due to it taking 5-7 days to get back and did not require me to do it in the end. Johnny paid for the ice himself and wouldn’t let me pay him back. So kind and lovely.

The staff were great. The breakfast was great, especially the pancakes. It felt very relaxing to stay at The Beach.

Sometimes there was smoke from people burning off.

Location right in front of a beach, but far away from Port Vila.

Restaurant prices were a bit high.

Good vistas and in walking distance to a few other places to eat. The staff are exceptional.

Cockroaches in room almost every day, unable to borrow snorkelling equipment due to them not having any despite adversing. Some entertainment such as the “fire dancers” required guests pay additional fees, if not paid access to the bar and pool area was off limits. Double booking at massage caused a rescheduling, was then double charged for one massage despite it being their issues. When brought to attention of resort they requested we provide records despite that being their job. Beach is not suitable for swimming due to coral and depth, able to wade but ultimately not a swimming beach.
