It’s always a pleasure to stay here, rooms are lovely and stylish and the bed is super comfortable, snacks and minibar have a great range. The pool is fantastic and the Reno to the rooftop bar is wonderful. Excellent location and can walk to James street. Lovely friendly staff
I would have appreciated having a heads up about the significant increase to the cost of valet parking ( as a regular customer) - valet parking is the only choice you really have for safe (fine free)parking. It’s gone up to $ 85 from $65

Then parking was extremely expensive $85 per night and not having a 2nd option would make me choose somewhere else next time.

Great location, fun, quirky design. Friendly staff
A few dot points, more for context and to help others decide:
1. Air-con had a loud rattle when operating. Not an air-flow noise, but a loose grate that rattled so loudly that we had to turn it off during the night which wasn’t great, given how warm the room then became.
2. The room had a large east-facing glass door, which was nice. However, the curtains weren’t blackouts (particularly across the top) so you’ll be very aware when the sun comes up.
3. Well before arrival, we had booked dinner for 7:15pm. The booking was confirmed. When we arrived at the restaurant, they didn’t have our booking. Despite the limited menu, they didn’t have several of the items we wanted to order. More importantly, after we had ordered food, and drinks, they told us that they would be closing soon, and while we were still in the process of eating our meals, actually asked us to leave so they could lock up, despite it being only 8:45pm. If we had known that they were closing soon early, we would’ve eaten elsewhere.we had to finish a $170 meal in our room, with no cutlery etc because we insisted on taking it with us.
4. Minor issue, I know, but the plug in the spa bath was very difficult to remove, a d the floor was very slippery when wet, which made getting in and out hazardous, even for able-bodied people. Limited amenities in the room. I realise these are available on request, but it would been nice to know that at check-in so a request could be made before the items were needed.
5. The light switches were oddly synched, and took a while to figure out. In the end, we could turn everything on and off except the light in the closet.
