Beach was fabulous, the Delux villa was right on the beach front and we could sit out and watch the waves from the balcony. Breakfast was good and varied although a bit too crowed at peak times
To be honest I would visit this hotel again but only in the Delux beachfront villas - the blocks of apartments which were further back from the sea would not of suited us. Generally a great hotel but it could do with a separate restaurant for the evening meal as they use the same facilities for both breakfast and dinner. But it did not actually bother us as we booked "Bed and Breakfast" as far too many good restaurants to discover outside the hotel.

It was big but you had small apartment blocks. The rooms are a very good size and all the staff is wonderful. Watch where you walk as you do see wildlife. A scorpion crossed my path but I found that fascinating. There was even a monitor lizard due to the vegetation around.

Nice bungalow around the pool. Good breakfast selection. Great staff.
We found the room a bit warm without ac and too cold at night with air conditioner just because of it's position. It blew straight onto the bed. But it's a minor thing.

The resort is situated next to the beach, on a steep hill, the views over the water are good, and the crashing waves near the houses and pools is very relaxing. The Bambu beach bar was a good experience, very nice staff and delicious cocktails.
I didn't like the reception. We didn't feel welcome at all. The staff didn't make any effort to accomodate us or provide a warm welcome to us. There was only 1 restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and the food was so so. I would not come back here, the resort, in my opinion, is a 3 star resort posing as a 5 star place. From the 10+ places I stayed in Khao Lak, this was the weakest one.
